Yamaha YZ tech info
Yamaha YZ description
Up for auction is a 1981 Yamaha yz465 I bought this bike 2 months ago with the intension of restoring it but plans have change. The bike is pretty much complete it does not run this is the way I bought the bike and I never did anything with it. I have some parts that go with it they are pictured. I have a Manual, wheel bearings, empty wiseco piston box and small misc parts. The owner before me bought a plastic kit for it, and its supposed to have a new piston in the motor I cant confirm but the box is there and it has very good compression. The rims are straight and the forks have no pitting on the chrome overall the bike is in decent shape for its age. There is no title for this bike. Payment On pic up or cashiers check that clears before pickup. Thanks. If you have any questions you can call me at 412-335-3415. Check out my other auction a 1979 YZ 400. Please no bidders with no feedback. Thanks and happy bidding.

A breath of fresh air
Fri, 09 Nov 2012Dean Benstead's air-powered bike project, O2 Pursuit, which we spoke about a year ago, seems to have come along nicely since. Here's a video of the Australian's rotary air compression-engined Yamaha WR250R being taken out for a spin. Apparently it can hit 87 mph and cover more than 60 miles on a scuba-tankful's worth.
