Yamaha YZ description

This auction is for 1 - 1979 Yamaha YZ 400 MX race bike.  This is a dirt bike and there is no title just a bill of sale will be given.  This bike has been raced in the Grand Prix open & 50+ classes in AHRMA events over the last few years.  The motor got new crank seals in 2012, new heavier shock spring, heavier fork springs, and fork seals last year. This year it got new chain & sprockets and the new rear tire.  The bike has a DG pipe & silencer (I have a stock pipe) and Boysen reeds.  Overall the bike is in very good shape for being 37 years old.  Let me know if you have any questions.  The bike is near Birmingham, Al. and I can bring it to the 9/9/16 AHRMA XC race in Ramsey, Ill. otherwise you can pick it up here or arrange your own shipping.

Think You’re a Smooth Rider? Yamaha’s SmartRiding App Will Prove It

Fri, 04 Oct 2013

Yamaha has released a new app that records and evaluates riding habits. The free Yamaha SmartRiding app (available now in the App store) uses the Apple devices sensors to measure basic telemetry to evaluate how smoothly you handle curves. The app requires the device to be firmly fixed to the motorcycle in either a vertical or horizontal arrangement (the app is compatible with iPhones, iPods and iPads, though I’m not sure how many people will mount a tablet to their motorcycle).
