This is a 1979 yamaha yz 400 that is in perfect condition,race or ride ready! It is all fresh with about 2-5 miles break it time in the yard. "All" bearings in the engine are new with seals,has new top end,crank was checked it was in excellent shape,All frame bearings w/seals are new, chain and sprockets, with all new guide buffers, rear shock was rebuilt by race-tech(have paper work) front forks where rebulit, new front and rear tires,Has 2009 yamaha yz250f foot pegs on it(for safty,wider and sharper) have stock ones,all new plastics,still has stock pipe with stock silencer! has anodized nuts and bolts(there red) also has chromed spacers,bolts, and nuts. I"m sure I"m missing a lot,so please ask questions I"ll do my best to answer them. Yamaha to Cut Motorcycle Production in 2009
Thu, 26 Feb 2009With mounting inventories coupled with a drop in demand, Yamaha will be cutting its motorcycle production in Japan by 24 percent this year or to about 260,000 total units; one newspaper reported this would be a 40-year low for the manufacture. Yamaha plans to cut production for motorcycles and other products by 30 percent in the Americas, 20 percent in Europe but will maintain production levels in Asia where demand has not dropped off. The company is forecasting its group sales to fall 22 percent with an operating loss of about $300 million.
Yamaha Tenere 700 Raid Designs Preview Production Model
Wed, 19 Jan 2022Yamaha has filed designs that reveal what the production version of the Ténéré 700 Raid will look like. The Ténéré 700 Raid was shown at EICMA in prototype form as an even more off-road capable version of the Ténéré 700. While the prototype was essentially a Ténéré 700 modified with Genuine Yamaha Technology Racing (GYTR) performance parts, the designed filed with the European Union Intellectual Property Office appears ready for series production.
