1979 yz 250 f had plans to restore but things have changed. the bike was seized when I got it. soaked it with some penetrating oil and a few taps with a block of wood and it was free was at the bottom of its stroke so it did not take much. turns over fine now just down on compression. cylinder is in great shape with no scratch's or deep gouge's. there are no broken fins on cylinder. transmission wont shift, stuck in gear. pipe is smashed, wheels are straight but scratched. tank is in great shape. have new fuel petcock for it not pictured. had some welding done on the frame near kickstand bracket. hole is opened. and I do have the kickstand and spring for it. frame number is 2x4-005698. engine 2k700 yi. would like a 100.00 deposit within 24 hours of auction end. paid in full within 3 days of auction end thru paypal. don't have a problem storing the bike till pick up is arranged. there is no title with this bike. |

Yamaha to Open Plant in Pakistan
Thu, 04 Aug 2011Yamaha is reportedly planning to open a new manufacturing facility in Pakistan. According to the Associated Press of Pakistan, Yamaha would invest $150 million in the new 50 acre facility, to be located in Karachi, Pakistan’s main seaport and financial hub. The plant would produce motorcycles for the Pakistani market, as well as models to be exported to other Commonwealth of Independent States nations.
2012 Yamaha YZF-R15 Revealed for India

Yamaha Quitting World Superbike Racing After 2011 Season
Mon, 01 Aug 2011Yamaha announced it is withdrawing its factory World Superbike Championship race team following the end of the 2011 season. The news comes as a bit of a surprise, just a week after reports the team had re-signed racer Marco Melandri for the 2012 season. On the other hand, the team has struggled to find a title sponsor this season, as has Yamaha’s MotoGP team.
