up for sale is my 2007 Yamaha XT225. Street legal dual sport. Very good condition mechanically, fresh oil change. new chain, Front and Rear sprockets. Rear cargo rack battery tender leads low miles 6882. Has some nicks and scratches and a few broken spokes before i got it. Never bothered me though. Battery is getting weak. Will probably need a new one after this season. cracked signal housing Bike is located in the Pocono mountains in Pennsylvania. Has a clean NY title. Yamaha Officially Announces Monster Energy Sponsorship
Tue, 08 Jan 2013As we reported in December, energy drink producer Monster Energy has signed a sponsorship agreement with Yamaha‘s factory MotoGP program, putting its brand on the Yamaha YZR-M1 race bikes, team clothing and equipment, as well as riders Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi. Monster Energy already had a personal sponsorship deal with Rossi but the company will now also sponsor Lorenzo. The reigning MotoGP Champion had previously had a sponsorship arrangement with rival energy drink company RockStar, but Yamaha exercised a clause in its contract with Lorenzo allowing a buy out of the RockStar deal as it conflicts with the team’s sponsor.
Tommy Hayden Signs with YES Graves Yamaha for Remainder of 2012 AMA Daytona Sportbike Season
Fri, 08 Jun 2012Tommy Hayden has signed on to race the remainder of the 2012 AMA Daytona Sportbike season with Yamaha Extended Service Graves Yamaha after joining the team as a substitute for the injured Garrett Gerloff. Hayden joined the YES Graves Yamaha team as a last-minute replacement after Gerloff got injured in the first practice of the Daytona 200. While Gerloff continued his recovery from a broken femur suffered in the high side crash at Daytona International Speedway, Hayden has raced his way to fourth overall in the championship standings after five rounds with two podium appearances.
Yamaha Reveals PES1 and PED1 Electric Prototypes
Fri, 08 Nov 2013Yamaha is bringing two new electric motorcycle prototypes to the upcoming Tokyo Motor Show: the PES1 streetbike and the PED1 dirt bike. The nomenclature is a combination of the initials for Passion, Electric and Street for the street version and Dirt for the off-road model. Both prototypes are equipped with DC brushless electric motors powered by lithium-ion batteries.
