Yamaha XS description

Bike is in overall good condition and runs very well.  This motorcycle has only 6,994 miles on the odometer.  It was stored in a garage by the first owner for over 29 years.  It has a small dent on headlight bezel, it has wear scratches on control handles and it has a small buckle on front fender between the forks.  Everything is minor and cosmetic.  The bike is in remarkably good condition for its age.  The rims have no rust.  The gas tank paint and side covers are in good condition.  Tires are good.   Has little scrapes and  scratches on the outside edge of the mufflers.

This would make a great bobber project because the low mileage and low wear on this motorcycle or a nice daily rider.  It is electric and kick start.  BIKE HAS CLEAR FLORIDA TITLE.

BUYER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR SHIPPING OR MAKING ARRANGEMENTS FOR PICKING UP THE MOTORCYCLE.  LOCAL PICK UP ONLY.

Yamaha to Produce PES1 and PED1 Electric Motorcycles by 2016

Mon, 21 Apr 2014

Yamaha announced plans to release the production versions of its PES1 and PED1 concept models within two years as part of the company’s plans to enter the electric motorcycle segment. The PES1 and PED1 (which stands for “Passion, Electric, Street” and “Passion, Electric, Dirt”) concepts were first revealed at last November’s Tokyo Motor Show. In the company’s newly-published annual report, Yamaha confirmed plans to produce the two models, saying: “In sports motorcycles, we are working to create new value with EV sports motorcycles, which we aim to launch in two years, with the development of the small, on-road sports PES1, as well as the PED1, which are being developed to expand the scope of electric vehicles to the off-road world.

We ran a couple of stories last week - both, coincidentally, about new Kawasakis. One was the first peek of the new ZX10R – hot stuff you’d imagine – the other, the new W800 retro parallel twin. I suppose it shouldn’t have shocked us, which story was most popular in terms of hits but it really does mark a seismic shifts in British biking attitudes that the W800 story doubled the hits of the ZX10 piece.
