Here is a great running XT500 that is completely stock. This bike fires right up, Engine sounds very good. accelerates smoothly. Fuel tank looks good inside and out. Clear instruments. Still has turn signals in place. Its a very nice bike that has been taken care of. Clean wheels and spokes, all original equipment still in place. Easy to see this bike has not been abused. Will need a rear tire. There is a repair on the left shoulder of the seat. The right side cover is held on with zip ties, should be replaced and the front fender is cracked towards the rear. Some scratches on the bike but nothing you wouldn't expect from a 35 year old bike. With just a few simple items fixed and a detail, this bike would be a beautiful Vintage XT500 Clear paperwork. Wed, 03 Aug 2011A drop in net sales, an appreciating yen and the fallout from the March 11 earthquake and tsunamis in Japan contributed to a 4.6% drop in profit for Yamaha Motor Co. over the second quarter of 2011. Over the quarter ended June 30, 2011, Yamaha saw a 5.9% drop in net sales compared to the same period in 2010.Yamaha reports sales of 344.5 billion yen (US$4.48 billion) over the second quarter, compared to the 366.3 billion yen (US$4.77 billion) reported in the same quarter in 2010.

Fri, 20 Jun 2014Pierre Karsmakers, one of the first European motocross champions to bring his expertise to America, has been elected to the AMA Motorcycle Hall Of Fame Class of 2014. A three-time motocross champion in his native Holland, Karsmakers came to the United States to gain wider exposure and attract the attention of the Japanese motorcycle makers. “All the Japanese (sponsorship) contracts were going to Belgian riders,” Karsmakers said.

Thu, 21 Apr 2011I don't know about you but I've yet to ride anything with two wheels and an engine that I didn't enjoy in one form or another. From minimotos to 1800 Goldwings, there's always some fun to be had even if it is just the novel experience that makes you grin. I am not one for a pidgeonhole, that's for sure.
