The bike is in pretty good vintage condition. It has been sitting in previous owner's garage for over two years. Previous owner bought it from a friend but never rode it. Ran prior to being parked. The carbs need cleaning. It turns over, starter cranks, and wants to fire up but the carbs are gunked up and overflowing. Gas lines might be leaking also but petcocks are good. I have too many projects and have no time for this one. Probably all it needs is carbs serviced and fluids changed. Clear Minnesota title signed by previous owner. I can hold the bike in my garage for 30-days at no charge and I'll work with your shipper. I expect $500 down payment within 24-hours and full payment within 5-days. French Moto Website Anticipates Versys 1000 at EICMA 2011
Mon, 24 Oct 2011Musings of a liter-size engined Kawasaki Versys have circulated the web for a few years now, as loyalists of the likable Versys 650, as well as displacement-driven riders waiting in the wings, have pondered the potential of a more powerful adventure bike from Kawasaki that’s in the same league as BMW’s R1200GS and Yamaha’s Super Tenere. Alas, nothing of the sort has ever left the lips of Kawasaki, let alone go into production. Recently, however, the French motorcycle website, Moto-net.com, has produced convincing images that appear like photos of a complete Versys 1000, including matching hard luggage.

Mon, 06 Jan 2014Team HRC’s Joan Barreda on the Honda CRF450 Rally, got off to a storming start in day one of the 2014 Dakar rally, clocking up the fastest time of all the 175 riders at the first time-check. The former Husqvarna rider who moved to Honda in the middle of the season inaugurated his 2014 Dakar with an acrobatic performance. The motorcycle competition was expected to be wide open, and that is indeed what the classification shows after the opening stage. It was a very early start for the Rally Dakar. The pack of riders headed off at four in the morning on a long 251 miles that took them towards the vibrant city of Rosario for the start of the 112 mile special.
Wayne Rainey to Appear at Misano for First Time Since Career-Ending Crash

The Sept. 5, 1993 crash at the circuit then-known as the Circuito Internazionale Santamonica brought a sudden end to what had been an incredibly successful Grand Prix racing career.
