Yamaha XS650B 1975 For Sale, No Reserve! A true motorcycling classic with probably one of the best parallel twins ever made. This is a beautiful, low-mileage, great running, garage kept 1975 Yamaha XS650.
Bike cranks and runs great. Has electric starter that works, though I rarely used it as it kick starts easily. Replaced the carb in 2015 so it is basically brand new. All electronics work fine. The seat is original and in great condition; there are no rips or tears. Obviously given its age there are some very light scratches here and there but extremely few given the age, and bottom line is that everything works as it should, it's quick and handles great. A $300 deposit via PayPal will be required within 1 day of auction close. Balance of payment via Cash, Check or Certified Bank Check is required within 4 days. The title or motorcycle will not be released to shipper or buyer until all monies are received and clear. Shipping is totally up to buyer but will meet shipper at my home to transfer bike. OEMs Plug into Electric Bikes
Sat, 01 Nov 2008KTM introduced its prototype electric motorcycle earlier this week, and electric bike manufacturer Zero Motorcycles almost immediately responded by opening sales on its 2009 Zero X dirt bike (look for our review of the 2008 model next week!). But these two companies aren’t the only ones exploring the possibilities of electric-powered motorcycles. In September, Japan’s largest industrial information journal Nikkei Business Daily reported that both Honda and Yamaha have set target dates for launching their own electric-powered motorcycles.
How to solve the mystery of the wildcard replacement
Wed, 30 Jun 2010With the two test riders coming forward to act as replacement riders for the injured Rossi and Aoyama, it brought back memories of the days when the grid would be gifted with wildcard riders from the respective countries. The Japanese rounds were always attended by some of the top guys with experience of the 500GP and MotoGP bikes, through racing them in their domestic championships. What resulted was getting to witness the exciting and talented Japanese riders, and bring new riders to the attention of the teams.
