Yamaha XS description

Back for auction again after not reaching the reserve, new reserve.  I have gone completely through this bike to ensure that the timing is right and the carbs have been redone, basically I've ensured that all the little things that make a bike like this sit are now operable.  I have the original air box, guages and bars for those who wish to restore.  The brakes are in good shape and the bike runs very well.  I also have a new interstate battery that was put bought in August.  The only thing that is eluding my repair is the flasher relay, I replaced it and the blinkers light up just won't flash.

Keeping it simple and keeping the weight down was a great recipe for success, and now Yamaha is fixin’ to take it to the next level with a Ténéré 700 Raid, for which this machine it showed at EICMA serves as prototype. Introduced following the 2009 MotoGP season, the rule was designed to give satellite teams the chance to field young up-and-coming talents  they otherwise wouldn’t have been able to sign. The theory was the rule would protect the satellite teams and spread out the talent pool.
