The 2013 WR450F features a powerful and reliable, high-revving, five-titanium-valve engine with fuel injection, YZ250F-bred advanced aluminum frame, latest generation YZ forks and shock, and slim bodywork with updated headlight design gives the WR450F an aggressive, though stance. plus it's green sticker approved for California.

A YZ-bred advanced aluminum frame carefully engineered from castings, forgings and extrusions enhances handling while retaining legendary Yamaha feel and characteristics. Highly evolved five-titanium-valved engine starts with the push of a button. Highly functional digital enduro computer offers speedometer, clock, tripmeter, etc., in basic mode or pace management functions such as timer, distance-compensating tripmeter, average speed, etc., when switched to race mode. The WR450F is green sticker approved for California.

Mon, 24 Oct 2011Musings of a liter-size engined Kawasaki Versys have circulated the web for a few years now, as loyalists of the likable Versys 650, as well as displacement-driven riders waiting in the wings, have pondered the potential of a more powerful adventure bike from Kawasaki that’s in the same league as BMW’s R1200GS and Yamaha’s Super Tenere. Alas, nothing of the sort has ever left the lips of Kawasaki, let alone go into production. Recently, however, the French motorcycle website, Moto-net.com, has produced convincing images that appear like photos of a complete Versys 1000, including matching hard luggage.
Yamaha U.S. Increasing Club Level Road Racing Contingency

But at least Yamaha is stepping up to the plate and increasing its contingency program for club level road racers 50% over last year. According to Yamaha, the program is designed to encompass a broad spectrum of road racing series across the U.S., from numerous club-level and regional sprint series events to the AMA Pro Road Racing series, including the addition of the ASRA Team Challenge Endurance Series.
Yamaha Recaps Josh Hayes’ 2011 AMA Superbike Championship [Video]
Tue, 22 Nov 2011Yamaha released a video looking back at Josh Hayes’ 2011 AMA Superbike season culminating with his second consecutive championship. The video takes a round-by-round look back at the season as Hayes and his Yamaha R1 duked it out with essentially a phalanx of Suzuki GSX-R1000 riders led by seven-race winner Blake Young. Highlights include the hard-fought duel between Hayes and Young at Mid-Ohio, Hayes and Tommy Hayden swapping the lead on the final lap at Laguna Seca and the title-clinching finale at New Jersey Motorsports Park.
