Yamaha WR description

2013 Yamaha WR250F, NEW - If there's one thing enduro racers can expect, it's the unexpected. That's why our engineers didn't compromise anything in design of the WR250F. Its agility is second to none in tight wooded sections, while its YZ bred, 249 cc, 5-valve engine produces hard, fast power for wide open areas. Electric starting saves you energy and a digital enduro race computer with speedometer, stop watch and distance compensation trip meter, helps set your pace.

Yamaha To Build Cars By 2014

Mon, 23 Dec 2013

In a recent group interview at Yamaha Motor Company headquarters in Japan, company president Hiroyuki Yanagi announced plans for the company to enter into the automotive market by as early as 2014 — six years ahead of schedule. If you’re a motorcyclist or musician, the Yamaha brand is likely very familiar to you. However, the company has a long history building, or designing, engines for the car industry.

One and Done: Daytona 200 Winning Project 1 Atlanta Folds

Thu, 05 Apr 2012

Apparently winning isn’t enough to pay the bills any more, not even if the victory comes at the storied Daytona 200. The 2012 Daytona 200-winning Project 1 Atlanta team has folded after unable to secure funding for the rest of the season. Project 1 Atlanta, and racer Joey Pascarella, stunned AMA Pro Racing fans with a Cinderella story victory at the Daytona 200.

BSB 2012; Mystic Mac investigates

Tue, 03 Jan 2012

In my opinion, the smartest move in the BSB off season has to be Michael Laverty moving from Swan Yamaha to HM Plant Honda. With a ban on electronics for 2012, and in particular traction control, WFR's Graham Gowland has already proved to Laverty how competitive an EVO spec Fireblade can be - so I’m tipping both these riders to be bang on the money at the Brands Hatch season opener in April. Unlike BMW, Kawasaki and Yamaha, Honda have deliberately developed their road-going Superbike without electronics to give a user friendly feel with good mechanical traction, so it’ll be interesting to see how the opposition copes with their high-tech trickery stripped off.
