Hi, due to unforeseen circumstances im selling my beloved 2009 yamaha wr250 r. i have had it for a little over a year now. I am the 3rd owner. the 1st was a retired fireman and the 2nd was a police officer. I purchased it with 1400mis, and it now has 4200 mis on it. I mainly have driven short distances back and forth to school. never taken it off road, but i can only imagine how it would handle. it handles like a dream on the street. top speed is probably around 95. has fmf pipe and exhaust system. also the tail lamps and the turn signals have been changed. I still have all the original parts that will be included in the sale. Overall it is in good condition. US Motorcycle Thefts Down 6% in 2011
Tue, 09 Oct 2012Americans reported 46,667 motorcycle thefts in 2011, a 6% decrease from 49,791 stolen motorcycles in 2010, reports the National Insurance Crime Bureau. Despite the drop in reported thefts, the non-profit organization representing nearly 1100 property and casualty insurance companies says the theft rate still averages out to one motorcycle stolen every 11 minutes in the U.S. The numbers were published in the NICB’s 2011 ForeCAST Report which examined theft reports as well as recoveries.
Yamaha Wraps Up Sepang MotoGP Test
Thu, 02 Feb 2012Pre-season test lap times aren’t a precise barometer for how the 2012 MotoGP Championship season will go, but Yamaha has to feel good about its results after this week’s testing at Malaysia’s Sepang circuit. Last February at Sepang, Honda riders were the talk of the preseason session, taking three of the top four lap times on each day of the test. That pattern repeated itself in the final championship standings with Casey Stoner taking the championship, Dani Pedrosa finishing third and Andrea Dovizioso fourth.
