Yamaha WR description

2009 Yamaha Dual Sport WR250R. Beautiful bike. ONLY ~990 miles. Never taken off road or left in rain. Never dropped.

Mechanically perfect, clutch, transmission, engine etc. Wheels, tires in great shape. Battery in great shape. Starts up quickly every time. Seat brand new. Changed oil and maintained very well.

Upgrades:
  • Sunstar 48 tooth rear sprocket (I have stock sprocket with 43 teeth as well) Here is a link for it: (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B004ZK9QOC/ref=pe_175190_21431760_M3T1_ST1_dp_1)
  • New Renthal Chain (Renthal C294 R3-2 O-Ring 520-Pitch 120-Links Chain)
  • Flatland racing skid plate
  • Edge2 Taillight and turn signals (Looks much nicer and is brighter than stock but I have stock as well)
I'm going to grad school and can't bring this thing with me as I won't have a garage and its too nice to leave it outside. I bought this from an older guy who only rode it on the street a few times this last spring with only 400 miles on it and have used it to commute back and forth to class. I planned to do some trail riding with it but it never happened. Clean title on hand with extra key and all manuals. Email me if you would like to come check it out! Buyer pick up only.

Japan Needs Your Help

Thu, 17 Mar 2011

By now, we’ve all seen pictures and video of the devastation in Japan following the March 11 earthquake and the ensuing tsunamis. Japan, of course, has contributed much to motorcycling, with the Big Four of Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki and Yamaha, as well as tire manufacturer Bridgestone, helmet companies Arai and Shoei and many other motorcycle industry stalwarts all coming from the Land of the Rising Sun. Jon Bekefy and Greg Hatton, two motorcycle enthusiasts, industry employees  and above all, humanitarians, have set up a fundraising campaign benefiting the Red Cross for relief efforts in Japan.

Is A New Yamaha R1 Coming for 2023?

Mon, 20 Jun 2022

FIM approves track-only YZF1000W model A recently updated list of FIM-approved competition vehicles indicates that a new track-only Yamaha YZF-R1 is on the way for the 2023 model year. And if this is true, then we may also expect a significantly updated street legal 2023 R1 too. The International Motorcycling Federation maintains a spreadsheet titled “FIM Recognized Competition Vehicles” that includes approved racing-only models.
