Yamaha WR description

1992 WR 500. As is where is. Motor rebuilt by Eric Gorr. Squish mod and ported. Needs mains (pretty sure the old ones were re-used by accident. It has not been run more than 30 secs with the rattly mains). New aftermarket pipe. 95% pirellis. Extra silencer included. Small dime-sized tear in seat on lettering. Missing the air scoop. Skid and kick stand included. I did ride it with the porting and squish mod before getting the motor rebuilt and it was really a great powerband. No pings. Nada. Hate to see her go but too many toys/projects. Local pickup only. Cash or Wells-Fargo Cashiers check on pickup. Please ask q's!

Lorenzo Signs Two-Year Extension with Yamaha

Thu, 07 Aug 2014

Two-time MotoGP Champion Jorge Lorenzo has signed a contract extension with Yamaha to see him race on the company’s factory team through the 2016 season. The signing comes as no real surprise, following similar two-year contract extensions for teammate Valentino Rossi and Repsol Honda’s Marc Marquez and Dani Pedrosa. Ducati also confirmed it would field Andrea Dovizioso and Andrea Iannone next season, so unless Lorenzo wanted to spend a season or two developing Suzuki‘s or Aprilia‘s new prototypes, Lorenzo’s only option for a factory ride was to re-sign with Yamaha.

Yamaha Star Bolt Café Photos from Tokyo Motor Show

Wed, 20 Nov 2013

We received some positive feedback on our Google+ page when we first wrote about Yamaha‘s Star Bolt Café prototype, so we thought we’d share some new photos Yamaha released from the Tokyo Motor Show. Yamaha has made it clear the Bolt Café is only a reference model to showcase the customization potential of the Bolt. At its heart remains the Bolt’s 942cc V-Twin engine and double-cradle frame.

Stuck for a gift? Solution No3: Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki or Kawasaki merchandise

Fri, 09 Dec 2011

After the excesses of KTM and Harley's gifts ranges, Hondas seems tame. But even the sober Japanese firm has a handful of oddities in its line-up. The Japanese have been accused of imitating in the past, and Honda's incorporation of a baby's dummy in its official accessories catalogue mimics KTM's 'Silencer-System Mini Pro'.
