     This is my 1985 Yamaha Virago xv1000, its been garage kept, its very clean. I was told it has low compression in one cylinder and the carburetor leaks, I'm not a mechanic so I'm not exactly sure what all that means, I had a gas shot off put on it to keep the carburetor from dripping and otherwise have had no problems. It has some minor cosmetic damage on the exhaust pipes, and some of the chrome is "peeling", and a crack in the seat.

    What I have for sale here is a very nice 1982 Yamaha virago 750 full dresser.I have recently liquidated a delinquent storage facility,and this is one of the items from it.Bike is super nice condition for its age.Has very minor scuffs here and there from storage,nothing serious,could be rubbed out if ya want to.Looks like someone touched up the paint on the gas tank,but doesn't look bad.Brand new battery,oil change,and spark plugs.We just automatically did that,because it sat for around 5 years.Tires have good tread,slight dry rot on front from storage,but still rideable.Starts right up,no leaks,no smoke,no knocking.all keys to bags included,all function as they should.Turn signals and horn do not work,probably a fuse,we will not get that in depth.Starts right up,shifts throught the gears nicely,cruises right along at 55,sputters a little if you twist it wide open,nothing a little carb cleaner won't remedy,remember,it has been sitting a long time,needs to be ridden.I have clear title in hand,it denotes odometer discrepency,but I thik that might be a legal thing,having something to do with storage auction,but I don't know.The odometer and speedo work fine.Please call Bobby@ 440-231-6163 with all questions,first reasonable offer will be accepted.     Here is a 1982 Yamaha Virago 920 repairable with 27,169 miles this is one of two his and hers i have on ebay,bike has been sitting for several years,motor turns over,needs a battery,one side panel is missing and everything i have for the bike is in the pictures,tank looks ok inside,throttle doesnt twist,brakes dont work,the beads are broke on the tires,clutch lever pulls in,tranni shifts threw the gears,key is there,clear title in hand,the carbs probably will need cleaning before it will run,selling as is,buyer pays shipping and finds there own shipper if one is needed not sure there prices i can meet them at my door and i really dont have the room to store the bike after the auction ends,auction may end early because a watcher on ebay might want to purchase the bike before the auction ends,paypal accepted as payment if your not local,Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.

The California Air Resources Board today released executive orders on two Yamaha models: the FJ09FCGY and FJ09FCR. Both to be based on the current FZ-09 engine and chassis (MT-09 in Europe). In March of this year, MO’s resident sleuth, Dennis Chung, revealed Yamaha filed a trademark application for the FJ09 name.

Pirelli’s relationship with the World Superbike Championship started in 2004 and will carry on through 2018, as the Italian company will continue to supply tires for every class of the championship. What follows is the official Pirelli press release. Pirelli has been confirmed as the Official Tire Supplier for all classes of the eni FIM Superbike World Championship having won the tender organized by Dorna, promoter and organizer of the World Championship, in agreement with the FIM, the International Motorcycling Federation.

Yamaha Files Patents for Leaning Three-Wheeled Electric Scooter

Yamaha has filed a number of patents with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and the European Patent Office for an electric three-wheeled scooter. Unlike the Yamaha Tricity which has two wheels at the front and a third wheel at the rear, the patents are for a scooter with two rear wheels, each driven by an electric hub motor.

The Honda PCX150 may be getting some new competition, as  the California Air Resource Board granted an executive order certifying the 155cc Yamaha XC155 scooter. Available in Asian markets last August under the names Majesty S and SMax. Sporting a fuel-injected 155cc liquid-cooled four-valve Single, the XC155 inherits the styling of larger Yamaha scooters including the 395cc Majesty that was part of the company’s U.S.
