Hello, with perfect time for winter coming, I have my VX750 for sale! I say perfect timing because it needs a LITTLE bit of work, and the winter is the perfect time to do it because you aren't taking out riding time to fix it. So I can say that before it stopped running that it was running great! However it started backfiring and running rough. I called an expert on Virago's and he said that is not uncommon and that you just need to clean the carbs. I bought two rebuild kits for them as well. The other problem is that the starter isn't working. It turns but doesn't engage the motor. I took it to a specialist and he said that it is the starter clutch. So I bought 1 of those, and also the crank case cover gasket. Along with the parts, I have the Clymer manual that tells you how to do all of the work. I would do it myself, but I don't have any experience working on motorcycles and I have very little time with how busy work is keeping me. My loss your gain! Japan Needs Your Help
Thu, 17 Mar 2011By now, we’ve all seen pictures and video of the devastation in Japan following the March 11 earthquake and the ensuing tsunamis. Japan, of course, has contributed much to motorcycling, with the Big Four of Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki and Yamaha, as well as tire manufacturer Bridgestone, helmet companies Arai and Shoei and many other motorcycle industry stalwarts all coming from the Land of the Rising Sun. Jon Bekefy and Greg Hatton, two motorcycle enthusiasts, industry employees and above all, humanitarians, have set up a fundraising campaign benefiting the Red Cross for relief efforts in Japan.
