This a 1991 Yamaha Virago 1100 with approximately. 26k original miles. Looks and runs well ! No issues, doesn't leak and starts up every time. The bike has new paint, near-new tires, brand new battery, new fork seals, new front brake pads, and a recent tune-up (plugs, oil, and carbs cleaned and sync). These make great commuters or 1st bikes. Easy and comfortable to ride, very reliable and great gas mileage too, with plenty of power for a passenger and highway driving as well.Feel free to call or text (text 1st please ) for more details or set a time to see it. I am not interested in trades, payment or low-ball offers. This is a very clean reliable Yamaha a great value at $2550. Make a great Christmas gift too !Thank you fro your interest !

James Toseland Announces Retirement from Racing

Fri, 09 Sep 2011

Two-time World Superbike Champion James Toseland announced his immediate retirement from motorcycle racing due to a debilitating injury to his right wrist. Signed with the BMW Motor Italia racing team, Toseland has been limited to just seven of 20 races in this season’s WSBK Championship due to the wrist injury initially suffered during a private test at Spain’s Aragon circuit in March. After undergoing an operation for the injury, Toseland made two attempts at returning to racing, first at the Miller Motorsports Park round in May and again at the Silverstone round in July.

Jean Philippe Ruggia, 1988, Coppice at Donington Park, Sonauto-Yamaha 250. This is elbow lean action. There was a previous blog entry of Ben Spies and his elbow grazing the tarmac onboard the M1 Yamaha, I admit it is impressive but I find myself admiring the horizontal angles that Ruggia submitted his 250 Yamaha to, with the above image taken at Coppice as a prime example.

Geeky snippets ahead of the Phillip Island MotoGP

Tue, 13 Oct 2009

Valentino Rossi has finished on the podium eleven times in his twelve visits to Phillip Island across all three GP classes. The only race at Phillip Island that he did not finish in the top three was on his first visit riding a 125cc machine in 1997 when he finished sixth. In 1998 and 1999 he won the 250cc races and since then has had nine podiums in the premier-class including five victories, the last of which was in 2005.
