Yamaha Virago description

Pristine 1988 Virago 1100 motorcycle, 37000 plus miles, new tires, battery and recent top end rebuilt. original seat needs recovered and right crome battery cover missing. I am the third owner of this vintage model which is a limited edition of extra crome and anodized caseings. Original maroon paint job.The guy I bought it from said he looked for 2yrs to find this one.. This bike has really done me good I've owned approximately. 50 bikes in my lifetime and know a good 1 from a bad one. This Virago is definitely a GOOD ONE! For the time I have owned this one, I have only seen maby five other Viragos. These bikes are loaded for the highway and are a joy to ride. It's a little small for me and the wife... it's not really good for long distances with two people, kinda cramped but has all the power and smoothness. I am asking 1800.00, for it's very well worth it. It's true worth is around 2200.00 in perfect cond. It also comes with a backrest for driver and a set of leather saddel bags and Haynes manual. I can be reached anytime day or night. Ask for Vince # and thanks for looking.

We ran a couple of stories last week - both, coincidentally, about new Kawasakis. One was the first peek of the new ZX10R – hot stuff you’d imagine – the other, the new W800 retro parallel twin. I suppose it shouldn’t have shocked us, which story was most popular in terms of hits but it really does mark a seismic shifts in British biking attitudes that the W800 story doubled the hits of the ZX10 piece.
