The exhaust sounds fantastic. Great deep big v twin rumble. Engine runs smooth. The bike needs clutch work. When on the center stand the wheel spins as it should in all gears, but when the clutch lever is pulled in, the wheel continues to spin as if the clutch lever was still out. The lever pull itself is very light. This will need to be addressed before it can be ridden. It will also need some wiring work as the blinkers do not work (headlight and taillight work) and an overall cleaning up. The chrome is dusty in the photos but shines great when clean. I do not have the time or space to dedicate to it so it is being sold with NO RESERVE as is as a PROJECT exactly how you see it. With a good going over and some minor work this could be a very cool bike. I will not sell for lower than the opening bid. If it doesn't sell I will find a place to keep it, fix it and list again in the spring. WSBK 2013: Nurburgring Race Report
Tue, 03 Sep 2013Tom Sykes has taken over the lead in the 2013 World Superbike Championship standings after splitting race victories with Chaz Davies at Germany’s Nurburgring circuit. Both races ended prematurely however with red flags during the final laps. Pata Honda‘s Jonathan Rea and FIXI Crescent Suzuki‘s Leon Camier both crashed on the 18th lap of Race One after running into oil spilled on the track from Pedercini Kawasaki racer Federico Sandi‘s ZX-10R.
Yamaha Motor USA to Swallow Up Yamaha Canada
Fri, 30 Sep 2011Yamaha’s board of directors has voted in transfer all shares of its Canadian subsidiary to its American subsidiary, a move which would give Yamaha Motor U.S.A. responsibility over the entire North American market. The proposed transfer, set to begin in December, will make Yamaha Motor Canada a subsidiary of its American counterpart.
2012 Yamaha YZ250F Announced
Thu, 09 Jun 2011Yamaha revealed its 2012 YZ250F motocross bike with a number of updates. The 2012 Yamaha YZ250F gets several engine refinements including a new 39mm carburetor, compared to the 2011 version’s 37mm carb. The piston and piston pin are said to be lighter, while the connecting rod and counterbalancer are also new.
