Bolt Headlines Returning 2015 Models From Star & Yamaha

With all the excitement focused on the FZ-07′s stateside introduction, let us not forget these equally important models returning to Star’s and Yamaha’s 2015 lineup: the Bolt and Bolt R-Spec, the street-legal WR250R, XT250 and TW200, and the Blu Cru MXers; the 2-stroke YZ85/125/250, and 4-stroke YZ250F/450F. Bolt Like the FZ-09′s success, the Bolt is a smash hit for Star Motorcycles. The Diavel is my new bike of the year. Not being a huge Ducati fan, when I was thrown the keys of this monster at Silverstone on Tuesday I was expecting an ill handling, weighty beast that would run out of revs and scare me to death. Well I couldn’t have been more wrong as I had an absolute blast.

This weekend sees the running of the most famous car race of them all, the Le Mans 24hrs, and to be a driver of one of the front-running cars has got to be fairly high on the list of jobs that will make ladies swoon. Speed, danger, noise, fame, physical fitness and lots and lots of money, the key elements of any top-line race series, tend to ensure that its star competitors manage to appear cool. But the latest press picture from Yamaha – publicising the firm's link with (Yamaha shareholder) Toyota's Le Mans effort – manages to strip away every last shred of of swagger from the team's drivers by plonking them on Yamaha EC-03 electric scooters.
