Yamaha V Star description

I purchased this bike in November of 2014 and have put just about 3,800 miles on it. I have maintained it very well including getting all recommended servicing. It has been garage kept (with a cover too) and I have used a trickle charger in the winter to keep the battery in good condition. Two major alterations have been the changing of the front sprocket from a 16 tooth to a 17 tooth and dropping the rear from 45 teeth to 43 to increase the stock gearing which was far too low. The bike now rides much better and even gets increased fuel mileage (I've achieved over 90mpg). Here is what you will get with this purchase:

1) 2014 Yamaha V-Star 250 in Pearl White w/ sprocket upgrades
2) Original sprockets
3) Bike cover
4) Trickle charger
5) USB connector (this is already wired up so you can use your phone for GPS, etc)
6) Cell phone mount
7) Handlebar clock

All the specifications for the bike are below. It's a great starter bike for a new rider but I highly recommend it for anyone. I'm selling it to pursue my true life calling: aviation, and I'll be sad to see it go. EMAIL ME so I can provide you with a review I did over a year ago on the bike. Lots of close up high def video of the bike including exhaust sound, test ride, etc.

The title is currently with the bank whom I'm financing with just so you know.

Asking price: $3,200 obo

Yamaha To Build Cars By 2014

Mon, 23 Dec 2013

In a recent group interview at Yamaha Motor Company headquarters in Japan, company president Hiroyuki Yanagi announced plans for the company to enter into the automotive market by as early as 2014 — six years ahead of schedule. If you’re a motorcyclist or musician, the Yamaha brand is likely very familiar to you. However, the company has a long history building, or designing, engines for the car industry.

Master Of Torque: Motorcycle Anime By Yamaha Final Installment

Thu, 12 Jun 2014

If you’re into motorcycles, big, puppy dog eyes, dramatic Japanese dialogue with English subtitles, and subliminal Yamaha references then check out Master of Torque, Yamaha’s original anime series. The final installment in the three-part series is set to release tomorrow. Set in Tokyo, Japan in the year 2017, three years before the city’s hosting of the 2020 Olympic Games, the show focuses on the exploits of three young motorcyclists and highlights Yamaha’s FZ-09 and FZ-07.

Yamaha will give a third wheel to its scooter

Sun, 05 May 2019

The Japanese did not have enough unusual Niken bikes so they patented the design of a new 3-wheeler scooter. The device will probably be called the Tricity 300 and will presumably be powered by a 292cc engine from the 28hp XMax 300 maxi-scooter. We're looking forward to the debut of the production version at the end of the year at EICMA.
