Yamaha V Star description
I purchased this bike in November of 2014 and have put just about 3,800 miles on it. I have maintained it very well including getting all recommended servicing. It has been garage kept (with a cover too) and I have used a trickle charger in the winter to keep the battery in good condition. Two major alterations have been the changing of the front sprocket from a 16 tooth to a 17 tooth and dropping the rear from 45 teeth to 43 to increase the stock gearing which was far too low. The bike now rides much better and even gets increased fuel mileage (I've achieved over 90mpg). Here is what you will get with this purchase:
1) 2014 Yamaha V-Star 250 in Pearl White w/ sprocket upgrades 2) Original sprockets 3) Bike cover 4) Trickle charger 5) USB connector (this is already wired up so you can use your phone for GPS, etc) 6) Cell phone mount 7) Handlebar clock All the specifications for the bike are below. It's a great starter bike for a new rider but I highly recommend it for anyone. I'm selling it to pursue my true life calling: aviation, and I'll be sad to see it go. EMAIL ME so I can provide you with a review I did over a year ago on the bike. Lots of close up high def video of the bike including exhaust sound, test ride, etc. The title is currently with the bank whom I'm financing with just so you know. Asking price: $3,200 obo |

John Reynolds: Riding Masterclass
Fri, 17 Dec 2010When I first started racing about a thousand years ago, my local stomping ground was a place called Three Sisters near Wigan. It wasn’t glamorous but it was brilliant. An hour from home and with about a million corners crammed into just a km of tarmac. The Three Sisters was a reference to the three coal slag heaps that had once occupied the site before.

You Have Questions, Rossi Has Answers
Fri, 19 Jul 2013Prior to arriving at Laguna Seca for this weekend’s MotoGP race, nine-time world champion Valentino Rossi made a stop at Yamaha’s U.S. headquarters in Southern California for a meet-and-greet with his fans, and we were there to see The Doctor, along with Tech 3 Yamaha stablemate Bradley Smith, in person. As part of the trip, fans had a chance to participate in a Q&A session with the champ, where Rossi picked 12 questions at random.
