Yamaha V Star description

White V Star 1300, hardly riden, just don't have the time anymore.  Hate to see her sit, so I am going to let someone else do some nice riding.  Has a throttle lock (cruise control) and headlight flasher (for improved safety). Mint condition, always been in a garage, never even seen rain or bad weather.  Still time to get some good rides in this fall.  More pics upon request.

Yamaha to Cut Motorcycle Production in 2009

Thu, 26 Feb 2009

With mounting inventories coupled with a drop in demand, Yamaha will be cutting its motorcycle production in Japan by 24 percent this year or to about 260,000 total units; one newspaper reported this would be a 40-year low for the manufacture. Yamaha plans to cut production for motorcycles and other products by 30 percent in the Americas, 20 percent in Europe but will maintain production levels in Asia where demand has not dropped off. The company is forecasting its group sales to fall 22 percent with an operating loss of about $300 million.

Expect to see the world’s fastest racebikes reach speeds over 200 mph on the 1 km (0.62-mile) back straight, and bring ear plugs — these bikes are loud! Fresh off a 1-2 finish in the season opener in Qatar, Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi are looking to carry the momentum to CotA.
