Yamaha V Star description

Excellent condition, super clean bike, starts and runs great. Never dropped, garage kept. Up-to-date inspection & registration, had oil changed and bike checked throughout a few weeks ago. Almost new rear tire. Comes with battery tender and the Yamaha tools for the bike too.

The Yamaha V-Star 650 is not heavy (so it's easy to maneuver) and has a low seating position (low center of gravity), making it great for beginners and small riders. It's also super nimble around the city and perfect for commuting to work/school/etc, yet still powerful for enjoying the hill country and longer rides. The custom exhaust on this one makes it louder (safer & more fun IMO) and more powerful too.

I also have the following gear available for sale with the bike if interested (not included in auction price).

- 1 used HJC (M/L) helmet - good condition
- 1 used BiLT (S) helmet - like new
- 1 men's tourmaster jacket (with rain & winter layers) - great condition, fabric - great for Texas heat
- 1 set of men's gloves
Local pickup only. Feel free to ask questions! Good luck!

Mon, 01 Aug 2011

Yamaha announced it is withdrawing its factory World Superbike Championship race team following the end of the 2011 season. The news comes as a bit of a surprise, just a week after reports the team had re-signed racer Marco Melandri for the 2012 season. On the other hand, the team has struggled to find a title sponsor this season, as has Yamaha’s MotoGP team.

"That's one small step for man..."

Fri, 02 Oct 2009

TO CELEBRATE the 40th anniversary of man's first steps on the moon, Fiat Yamaha rider Jorge Lorenzo will wear an astronaut-style paint job on his helmet at this weekend's Portuguese GP. The Spaniard's lid has been sprayed to look a little like a spaceman's helmet and has Neil Armstrong's immortal words: "That's one small step for man; one giant leap for mankind" written on the rear. Let's just hope Lorenzo doesn't launch himself this weekend.
