2005 Yamaha V Star on 2040-motos
Yamaha V Star tech info
Yamaha V Star description
I am the third owner of this 2005 Yamaha V-Star Classic XVS650. It is a shaft-driven 5-speed with a 4.2 gallon tank and aftermarket pipes. It is air-cooled and very easy to maintain! I change the oil every 1000 miles and only use Full Synthetic. This bike is mechanically excellent and I try to ride at least once a week. In the three years I've owned it, I've put a little over 4700 miles on it but I've recently had a second child and finding time to ride is getting more and more difficult. It would make an excellent first bike; it's fairly light compared to other cruisers in its category and the seat height is probably the lowest to the ground you'll find. |

Simon and Leo
Thu, 11 Aug 2011If you are a track day regular this year, you may well have bumped into former racer and friendly Kiwi, Simon Crafar. I first met him in Malaysia in 1990 when he was riding for a Yamaha dealer team, sweating his way round circuits like Shah Alam and Johor Bahru but with a long term plan to make it onto the World scene. And he didn’t take long as after riding for Honda in the UK in 1992 he moved to WSB in 1994 and enjoyed success with both the Honda and Kawasaki factory teams.

Yamaha Tenere 700 Raid Designs Preview Production Model
Wed, 19 Jan 2022Yamaha has filed designs that reveal what the production version of the Ténéré 700 Raid will look like. The Ténéré 700 Raid was shown at EICMA in prototype form as an even more off-road capable version of the Ténéré 700. While the prototype was essentially a Ténéré 700 modified with Genuine Yamaha Technology Racing (GYTR) performance parts, the designed filed with the European Union Intellectual Property Office appears ready for series production.
