This is a custom built Yamaha 650 Bobber with low mileage. I receive stares and comments about how beautiful this bike is everywhere I go. I've had the bike for over 3 years and have changed the oil consistently every 3,000-4,000 miles, and have maintained all fluid levels. The bike has a fairly new front tire. It runs like a dream. Back in September, Yamaha revealed a special “Race Blu” livery for a the YZF-R1, YZF-R6 and the YZF-R125 for the European market. Yamaha promoted the new color scheme with Jorge Lorenzo and Ben Spies sporting the colors on their leathers and M1 race bikes at the Misano and Aragon MotoGP rounds. North American consumers were left out, however, getting a Team Yamaha Blue and White version instead for the R1 and R6 (the R125 isn’t offered here either).

With the Supercross season over, and Motocross season now beginning, Thursday, May 22, will be a media day leading up to the Red Bull Glen Helen National. This event is open to all journalists — no credential necessary. The day kicks off at 1pm, with a press conference featuring former 450 Class Champions: Ryan Dungey, James Stewart and Chad Reed. The floor will be open for media Q&A.

So Kenny Roberts Jnr think traction control is ruining racing? Having watched this 1981 ProAm race from Mallory Park, I'm forced to agree. Racing should be a spectacle.
