Yamaha V Star description

Up for bid is my 2003 Vstar 1100 Custom with some modifications. Before going further, I need to state I do not have any stock parts remaining with maybe the exception of the carb jets. I also might have the stock control linkage to return the controls back. I bought the bike around August 2012 completely stock aside from the seat and the Jardine oil filter relocation kit. Since then I replaced the stock exhaust with a set of Cobra Speedster slash down pipes. I removed the stock air box and installed a SS Custom "Chubby" air kit. The side "dog bowl" housing is non functional and only to go with the look. I also removed the AIS setup to eliminate backfire from the exhaust and plugged the holes with spent .45 ACP steel casings. The forward controls are a basic 4 inch extension of the stock setup. The seat is a studded Corbin 1-piece 2up style. The back rest can be moved to accommodate either rider. The Jardine oil filter relocation kit uses K&N-303c filters. This is probably one of the best upgrades you can do for the vstar. Without it requires removing the lower exhaust pipe which is a PITA. Bike also comes with matching chrome saddlebag support brackets. Rear driveshaft hub fluid was changed at 12k miles. Oil changed beginning of May this year with Castrol Synthetic 20w-50. The bike has been properly stored in a unit during the winter every year and covered when not. The bike is in very good condition for its age. The color is two tone black and gray and looks better in person. The bike runs great and sounds great as well. Its definitely a lot quicker and better throttle response with this free flow setup. The exhaust has a nice sharp rumble but if you dont like it, switch it without rejetting the carbs. Tires look to have plenty of life left. I have not changed them as I've only put a few thousand miles on it. If you have any questions please let me know.
