Yamaha V Star tech info
Yamaha V Star description
This is a sweet ride, just like new. This bike was gifted off the showroom floor to a friend of mine who is an older gentlemen. He put about 1600 miles on her before we purchased the bike in 2014. I added the bike to our collection thinking that my girlfriend would enjoy riding. Health reasons now preclude her from riding. If you know these bikes, this is the nicest 2002 you will find as it has been ridden sparingly and gently.
It is a very comfortable bike with a low center of gravity, and perfect for a woman rider. I enjoy riding this bike and I'm a large guy...its easy to get on and off of, and easy much easer than my Concours to maneuver. When I put the bike away last summer I hit the side of the barn with the left blinker, have not gotten around to replacing it. There is also some tape residue on the windshield that we can't seem to get off. This happened when my friend left the bike in his driveway with a for sale sign taped on the windshield. You may know some tricks, but I certainly don't think it is worth replacing the windshield as it is not noticeable when you are riding. The bike has always been meticulously maintained, tires have plenty left, new battery in 2015, and the carbs were adjusted in 2014. Ready to ride for the season! We have a couple of newer helmets that you can take with you if you are so inclined. We are in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, so take a few days off, pack the saddlebags and enjoy some of the best riding in New England! Call me if you have any questions, I'm John. My cell number is 603-616-8991. Thanks for checking the bike out. |

Jefferies' TT V&M R1 for sale
Tue, 26 Apr 2011We got a tip-off about a former David Jefferies TT R1 for sale on eBay. The owner says it's from the 1998 TT but I'm pretty sure it was the one he raced in 1999. Here's a little bit more background about the V&M TT effort in 1999: In 1990 Jack Valentine gave up racing to concentrate on running V&M Racing, and after being sacked by Honda at the end of the 1998 season, the team set about to do some giant killing.
2024 Yamaha MT-09 SP Review – First Ride
Wed, 28 Aug 2024Better suspension and Track mode brings us so close to an R9 Photos by Dave Schelske As the tail rider in a train of approximately seven identical Yamahas, I couldn’t help but watch in awe as each of us weaved our way through the notorious Tail of the Dragon, bending the bike underneath us to our will through the 120-something corners, the unison of the dance mesmerizing as each of us took our turn, one by one, around each apex, at irresponsible speeds, front wheels inches away from the person in front of us. This is the kind of trust you build up after you’ve ridden with the same group of people for years on end. We all know that riding with your friends is fun.
