1999 Yamaha v star 650 in great shape for its year. does have imperfections in the paint, minor scratches . new battery and tires are in good shape has been sitting a while. and could use a fresh tank of gas when ya hit it hard has a little hesitation, I think fresh gas will take care of that. it never had that issue until it sat for awhile. fires right up is cold blooded so you have to run the choke a little until it warms up. Brakes are in good shape and no slippage in the clutch. very nice looking bike. lot of metallic in the paint .  This bike is for sale as is no warranty.

Jeremy Burgess Out and Silvano Galbusera In as Valentino Rossi’s Crew Chief

Valentino Rossi has parted ways with longtime crew chief Jeremey Burgess, ending a partnership that extended across 14 years and three different manufacturers while capturing seven MotoGP and 500cc Grand Prix World Championships. Burgess will be replaced by Louis CK lookalike Silvano Galbusera, a veteran crew chief and mechanic whose most extensive experience comes from World Superbike and Supersport racing. As crew chief and/or technical director, Galbusera has worked with an impressive roster of riders including Troy Corser, Noriyuki Haga, Cal Crutchlow and Ben Spies.

Yamaha announced new 2013 colors and graphics for its flagship sportbike, the YZF-R1. Beside the three color options, the 2013 Yamaha R1 returns unchanged, after getting a new seven-level traction control system in 2012. The three color options for 2013 are Matte Gray, Rapid Red and Raven, and the Team Yamaha Blue and White.

Yamaha has released a video teasing a new model it claims “is about to change the sport motorcycle world.” The video, called “The Dark Side Of Japan“, reveals little detail about the new model but promises all will be unveiled June 11. The video includes images from Japan’s vibrant nightlife and lively sub-culture,with youths in costume and exotic hair and makeup dancing in clubs. The new model will reflect this side of Japan, with Yamaha calling it a “new kind of brutal animal”.
