Yamaha released a new microsite teasing the launch of two models, expected to be the production versions of the YZF-R25 (or perhaps YZF-R3 for certain markets) and the Tricity leaning three-wheeled scooter. David Stanton Charity Trackday Raises $75,000

The generosity of the motorcycling community shone brightly on Monday, as riders, fans, friends and enthusiasts took part in a charity track day at Sonoma Raceway hosted by 3J’s Motorcycle Track Days, raising $75,000. The charity track day was to benefit David Stanton, a Bay Area resident and long-time American Federation of Motorcyclists (AFM) competitor, who was paralyzed after a racing crash in June. In all, more than 400 people participated in the track day, attended the evening reception or stopped by to give Stanton their best wishes.

Provisional 2012 World Superbike Championship Entry List Released

The International Motorcycling Federation has released a preliminary entry list for the 2012 World Superbike Championship. The preliminary list includes 24 entries representing six manufacturers: Aprilia, BMW, Ducati, Honda, Kawasaki and Suzuki. Noticeably absent is Yamaha which announced last summer it would pull out of WSBK racing.
