1981 Big Valve TT500
This TT500 came to use on a blind purchase, we assumed like all the others it would need a complete restoration and or put together properly, we were very surprised after looking it over that it was in amazing condition.
The bike had been sitting for some time in the dry climate of Arizona which preserved the bike in as close to its original state as possible. Like all of our bikes we pull the engine to examine the valve guides, seals and proper seating, replace clutch plates and examine the oil sump for any metal debris, everything was in perfect working order, replacement of the points and proper carburetor settings and she fired up on the first kick and runs perfect. We replaced any cables found to be in marginal or in questionable condition, this is simply done because nobody enjoys showing off their new toy to have something simple leave them embarrassingly stranded while there friends drink beer and laugh at them. The tank was in very good condition, only a few minor scratches so we left it alone as these are only original once. We are offering it with the original plastics, but are also including a set of Brand new plastics also NUMBERS MATCHING FRAME AND ENGINE
So in short if you like the classics, looking for something that isn't cobbled up and sprayed down with some sort of greasy crude for some photos, like a bike that runs as we say it does, then hit that BUY IT KNOW button or at least make a nice offer and prepare to have some fun and buy a TT XT or SR 500 from the people who knows these bikes like the back of a Budweiser beer can, us The Vintage Spoke!
We can gladly help with shipper suggestions here in the USA we have only been doing this for 16 years and have made some great friends and contacts who do this type of work for a living, so there good at it.
We can
build very nice crates as per USA customs specifications for $300 (wood is not
cheap and our staff like's to be paid to build them) For build questions please call Tony at 785-263-1948 These bikes where sold originally as OFF ROAD use and non titles, if you need or want a title please let us know and we will obtain one under the Kansas Antique title law for you at no additional cost. |
