Fans of professional motorcycle road racing who don’t want to wait until the next AMA round at Road America can now rejoice in watching the GEICO Superbike Shootout presented by Yamaha. One-hour TV shows from each round will air on MAVTV twice a day on six consecutive Thursdays at consistent times, as follows: Round One, RaceFuelZ Pro Superbike from Yamaha SoCal Nationals at Fontana June 5, 10:00 a.m. Pacific/1:00 p.m.

Yamaha Motor Corporation, U.S.A., is proud to announce that it has signed on as sponsor for the GEICO Motorcycle Superbike Shootout Presented By Yamaha, a three-event championship motorcycle road racing series that includes the Yamaha SoCal Nationals at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, CA on April 26-27; the Pacific Nationals at Sonoma Raceway in Sonoma, CA on May 3-4; and the Mountain Nationals at Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, UT on May 24-25. The announcement was made by Bob Starr, General Manager of National Communications for Yamaha’s Motorsports Group. A new subframe and seat were made for the motorcycle, a Renthal handlebar and branded CRD controls were installed. The engine has been completely restored, the crankcase covers are sanded and varnished.
