  • 1972 Triumph Bonneville1972 Triumph Bonneville (1972)
Bike comes with a clear Missouri title in the name of the former owner.  He has signed the title...I have just not transferred the title to my name.  As you can see in the photos, the model number and the VIN number of the frame match. They are both T120V CG51210.  On the title, the model number and VIN number is T120RV CG51210.  1972 is the first year 5 speed transmissions were available.  Bonneville's with a 4 speed transmission were T120R bikes, and those bikes with a 5 speed had a "V" at the end of the model number.  This bike has the 5 speed transmission as indicated by the "V" in the model number/VIN number, and it works perfectly. The bike starts, idles, and runs good.  I've literally had 25 too 30 Triumphs over my life and they have all leaked oil.  If I ever had one that didn't, this is it.  So, I will just say this bike is the most oil tight one I have ever had.  Everything on the bike works....the headlight (both high & low beams), the 3 colored indicator lights in the headlight housing, the turn signals, the brake light (when activated by either the hand or foot), the tail light, the horn, the high beam flash button on the handlebar control, the kill switch button, the tach, and the speedometer.  The needles on both the tach and the speedo move as smoothly as if they were new...something kind of unusual for old Smith/s gauges.

  • 1972 Triumph Bonneville1972 Triumph Bonneville (1972)
Nicely restored 1972 Triumph Bonneville for sale.  Very nice, correctly functioning rider with no mechanical issues.  With a good detailing the bike could easily be displayed in a museum setting, however it is not a perfect bike.  Please know that even thought it has been restored, the bike is 45 years old.  Serious buyers please study the photos in detail and ask any questions for anything that is not clear.  Bike was restored about 6 years ago.  Do not have any additional photos or documentation of the restoration. Comes with clear OH title branded ACTUAL 29,500 miles and is exactly what you see in the photos, nothing more, nothing less.   It is in everyone's best interest for the buyer to clearly know what they are getting, so here is my best description of what I can see or understand about this bike: Positive Points: Very attractive style and very nice cosmetic condition Good mechanical condition, typically starts first kick and does not have any mechanical issues. Newer modern tires Numbers matching frame and engine Many other positive points can be seen in the photos Negative Points: Very small paint chip in white on lower tank (touched up, see photos) Some small dings in the mufflers (need to look very closely) Some minimal rust in some areas (look closely) that can likely be resolved with good detailing Bike is 45 years old!

IMMACULATELY RESTORED BONNEVILLE       1964 T120R BONNEVILLE 1964 Triumph Bonneville T120R     This listing is for an extremely well restored Triumph Bonneville.  As the pictures show, everything about the motorcycle is correct, authentic and very well done.  The restoration was completed by Roger Jones of Georgia with nothing overlooked in the process.  Roger is extremely thorough with a restoration.  His mechanical work is every bit as good as his cosmetic finishes.  He starts with complete disassembly.  The engine and transmission are entirely rebuilt with new and/or excellent used parts as required.  From there all components of the motorcycle were addressed with the best possible parts and/or finishes.  Price/cost was never a factor in these restorations...the objective was to produce the best possible 1964 Triumph Bonneville!  Look at the pictures.....I think you will agree the objective was met.  The motorcycle has been run for a few minutes with gas through a funnel (no gas has been in the tank).  After that short run, the motorcycle was put on display (climate controlled) in my personal collection.  The motorcycle has a clear title and is being offered at a very reasonable $14,399 or Best Offer. LOOK BELOW FOR MORE GREAT PICTURES OF THIS BEAUTIFUL BIKE! PLEASE READ ENTIRE AUCTION INCLUDING ALL DETAILS, DESCRIPTIONS, AND DISCLOSURES BEFORE BIDDING.

Selling my pristine fully restored 1969 Triumph Bonneville T120R 650 cc motorcycle. The Triumph is truly a 98 pointe bike that bares no excuses for build quality and numbers matching motor that was also fully restored using all NOS parts. The bike underwent an updated electronic ignition which removed the original point setup which makes the bike start and run much nicer. This bike has only been rode to motorcycle shows locally and very sparingly.Runs perfect with no issues. The color on this bike is called Olympic Gold which the paint on this bike has been painstakingly repeated and cleared three times to get the exact match. The tank color style with the single silver stripe is the most sought after style versus the scalloped design which was also offered at the time.Good luck on finding a nicer 69 Bonneville for what I am offering in the condition it presently is in. 2024 Yamaha MT-09 SP Review – First Ride

Wed, 28 Aug 2024

Better suspension and Track mode brings us so close to an R9 Photos by Dave Schelske As the tail rider in a train of approximately seven identical Yamahas, I couldn’t help but watch in awe as each of us weaved our way through the notorious Tail of the Dragon, bending the bike underneath us to our will through the 120-something corners, the unison of the dance mesmerizing as each of us took our turn, one by one, around each apex, at irresponsible speeds, front wheels inches away from the person in front of us. This is the kind of trust you build up after you’ve ridden with the same group of people for years on end. We all know that riding with your friends is fun.

2024 Yamaha MT-09 Review – First Ride

Tue, 14 May 2024

More minor changes in anticipation of the R9 Photos by Joseph Agustine. There really wasn’t a reason to update Yamaha’s MT-09. We love the MT-09, and apparently you do too – it’s been Yamaha’s best-selling MT model for a decade.

2024 Yamaha Ténéré 700 First Ride

Wed, 13 Dec 2023

Small updates keep the T7 fresh, but we're still missing out on the European variants Photos by Yamaha/Joseph Agustin Photo Yamaha’s popular Ténéré 700 “T7” adventure bike returns for 2024, and while it would be easy to say it is “largely unchanged” from the 2023 model, there have been some notable changes made in response to feedback from many North American riders. One wish still unrealized: the U.S. dealers won’t be getting the up-spec World Raid and numerous other versions of the T7 the EU enjoys - at least not this year.

2024 Yamaha Tracer 9 GT+ Review

Thu, 17 Aug 2023

Riding 950 miles across three states in two days highlights this Tracer’s capabilities Photography by Joseph Augustin New motorcycle model introductions follow a well-worn path: travel to the event location, eat nice meals, get briefed on the bike of the moment, ride a route designed to highlight the bike’s strengths, take photos/video, eat more good food, return home, and write up a review. After 27 years in this industry, I still get a cheap thrill about throwing a leg over a new motorcycle before it is available to the general public. However, what really gets me going is when I have a chance to log more than just the couple of hundred miles typically covered in an intro and spend some real time on the road with said bike.

2023 Yamaha Tracer 9 GT+ Review – First Ride

Thu, 18 May 2023

Yamaha’s sports tourer middleweight receives an influx of technology for 2023 Astute readers are probably wondering why Motorcycle.com is publishing a First Ride of a bike that’s not coming to the States this model year. Our reasoning is that, thanks to the sleuthing of Dennis Chung, we suspect the Yamaha Tracer 9 GT+ will be coming to the U.S. in 2024.

Yamaha Tracer 9 GT+ Finally Coming to US for 2024

Thu, 06 Apr 2023

Sport-tourer equipped with radar-based adaptive cruise control Last November, Yamaha Motor Europe revealed a new Tracer 9 GT+ at EICMA, a new version of its Triple-powered sport tourer equipped with a 7-inch TFT display, adaptive cruise control, and a radar-linked unified braking system. Yamaha Motor USA, however, remained quiet about it, and we later learned the Tracer 9 GT+ was not coming to the States for 2023. In fact, even the less techy regular Tracer 9 was left out of Yamaha Motor USA’s returning model announcements.

Yamaha MT-10 SP Project Bike - Update 1

Thu, 26 Jan 2023

Everythings installed and initial impressions. It’s been about a month since we introduced Motorcycle.com’s 2022 Yamaha MT-10 SP semi-long-term project bike. In case you forgot the premise of this whole thing, Yamaha offered us the opportunity to hang on to an MT-10 SP for an extended period of time, and since I have a soft spot for the bike, I decided to give it some tasteful upgrades to address some key weaknesses while also unleashing some trapped potential.
