The bike features a sculpted seat which is perfectly suited for long journeys while the position beams within the main headlight housing give you a great road visibility during night. The Star Motorcycle Roadliner S comes with a classic clock-style instrumentation which enhances the neo-retro look and is fitted with a series of useful displays such as the analog speedometer, tachometer and fuel gauge. The Roaldiner Ss backbone is a light but rigid aluminium frame which is combined with a light, Controlled-Fill die-cast swingarm.Power comes from a 113-cubic-inch (1854cc) air-cooled, pushrod 48-degree V-twin with 9.48:1 compression ratio. The engine is kept in check by a computer-controlled, twin-bore, fuel injection which monitors multiple engine parameters to calculate perfect mixture under all conditions.

Kenny Roberts Motorcycle Collection Up For Sale

Wed, 25 Apr 2012

Motorcycling legend Kenny Roberts has commissioned RMD Motors to auction off some rare and exclusive motorcycles from his collection, presumably to make room for more. The Japan-based company is known the world over for its collection of rare and classic motorcycles for sale, many of which are retired grand prix machines fortunate enough to escape the fate of most decommissioned racebikes: the crusher.  Headlining the Roberts collection is the 2004 Proton KRV5 originally ridden by Kurtis Roberts, King Kenny’s youngest son. The five-cylinder grand prix machine never achieved much success on the world stage, but will easily make you the center of attention at your local trackday.

Yamaha Files Trademark Application for FJ-09

Mon, 03 Mar 2014

Yamaha‘s next three-cylinder motorcycle may be a sport-tourer, if a recently-filed trademark application is any indication. The Tuning Fork brand filed a trademark application with the United States Patent and Trademark Office for the name “FJ-09” as it applies to “Motorcycles, scooters, three-wheeled scooters and structural parts for all the aforesaid goods.” Following Yamaha’s usual naming conventions, the signs indicate the trademark will be for a new sport-touring model using the same Triple as the FZ-09. Yamaha has made it clear it plans to introduce more three-cylinder engines following the FZ-09 (or MT-09, as it is known in Europe.) Previously-filed trademark applications for the YZF-R3 and R3 names raised speculation the next triple would be a sportbike, but as per Yamaha’s usual naming convention, the “3″ in R3 is likelier to refer to the engine displacement rather than the number of cylinders.
