Yamaha Road Star description

This bike is a 2005 Yamaha 1700cc Roadstar theme bike with replica features of the Shelby Cobra as its theme.

The custom paint job is white with metal flake and blue racing stripes that cost $5K. There is over $15K in hand engraved engine work by a Las Vegas jeweler.  Each engraved part has a racing checkered flag design with pava squares as found in ring designs. The engraved parts are rocker box covers, derby covers, and license plate frame.

It has been trailered to the shows for years, and showed in many magazines with only 5,100 miles, and $50K invested.

The Shelby Cobra features include:

1. Head Scoop Gas Tank with a chrome wire mesh cover.

2. Side Vents with chrome wire mesh covers to represent the fast back models.

3. Hand painted cobras on side vents like 1968 Shelby .

4. Hand painted “GT102” on the gas tank represent the motor cubic inch size like the car theme GT500.

5. Engraved twin cobras on derby covers.

6. Mounted Cobra head by engine mount.

7. Front fender cut for snake fangs design.

8. 2 in 1 exhaust system was designed by Hacker pipes with a deep rumble sound with black ceramic coated pipes to keep heat shields cool.

9. Accessories from Battistinis collection to replica Shelby steering wheel pattern with 3 spokes contain large to small hole as shown in Exhaust Shields, Rims, Headlight, Rotors, Hand grips, Forward controls, Pegs, and Rod shifter.

The suspension is support by the big bore air ride system with a remote control key chain that will let you ride in the mountains or drop it for the show. The front wheel is 21” with a 18” rear with a 260 size tire.

The engine was given CNC machined diamond cuts edges with a 40mm Dellorto dual carburetors, evil twin air cleaner covers, 52 tooth rear sprocket with chain drive, and LED digital speedometer with a trip counter.

The front end consist of triple tree’s with Arleen ness bullet style forks to match its chrome bullet swing arms, twist clutch, and internal throttle to give a clean look with no cables showing. The bike is equipped with a LED running and brake light system integrated into the rear fender, and license plate frame.

I purchased this bike brand new from Antonio Renzi who is an award winner of the T.V show metrics cruiser, and owner of Modesto Custom Cycles in Modesto, CA. He has been customizing motorcycles for the past 20yrs with show quality motorcycles.
