Yamaha Road Star tech info
Yamaha Road Star description
2006 Yamaha Road Star Silverado, 2006 Yamaha Road Star Silverado - STAR TO THE HIGHWAYS. Bags and a windshield alone don't make a cruiser ready for the open road. The legendary heart of a Road Star, on the other hand, does. The Road Star Silverado rumbled onto the scene in 1998, and it's already legendary for its sheer size, retro styling and sheer power. A massive 1,670cc V-twin delivers impressive torque and the kind of cruising performance you only get from a Yamaha. And with wide, rubber-mounted handlebars, a touring seat geared to all-day riding, and roomy soft saddlebags, you're ready for the long-haul. Pure power. Uncompromised comfort. And it's dangerously close to being too damn beautiful to ride. Simply legendary. 3-Day "no Questions Asked" Money Back Guarantee on all Certified used motorcycles purchased! Yamaha R6 to Continue Racing in Supersport Next Generation Category
Mon, 17 Jan 2022No R6 replacement for the near future Last month, the International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) provided the first look at the new “ Supersport Next Generation” models that will redefine middleweight racing class. Starting with the 2022 season, the World Supersport class (and their equivalents in various national racing series such as MotoAmerica) will add new models such as the Ducati Panigale V2, MV Agusta F3 800, MV Agusta F3 Superveloce, Triumph Street Triple RS, Suzuki GSX-R750, and the 636cc Kawasaki ZX-6R. The primarily 600cc models that previously represented the class will continue for one more season, before the Supersport Next Generation models take over completely in 2023.
Back in the day, the All Japan 500cc Championship at Tsukuba
Fri, 24 Jun 2011This ‘you tube’ gem sent to me recently brought back some funny memories from the scary but incredibly exciting days of 500cc two stroke racing. This particular race was the final round of the All Japan 500cc Championship at Tsukuba Circuit where I enjoyed a head to head battle with national hero Tadahiko Taira. Yamaha’s favourite son at the time, ‘tie wrap’ as we liked to call him, was taller and better looking than most Japanese riders (maybe a war baby?) and went on to win nearly everything in Japan during his career.
