- Honda Motor Company Limited - Yamaha Motor Company Limited - Hero MotoCorp Limited - Bajaj Auto Limited - Harley–Davidson Incorporation According to Research And Markets, who bill themselves as “The World’s Largest Market Research Store,” these are the top five companies of the global motorcycle industry, with data collected from 2006 – 2011. NO IT'S NOT an illusion: you're looking at the 1981 Yamaha OW53, ridden by double World Champion Barry Sheene in the first three rounds of the '81 500GP championship. The bike's owner, aircraft engineering entrepreneur Chris Wilson, has lent the £100,000 GP machine to Visordown for our stand at this year's NEC Motorcycle Show - 27th November to 6th December 2009. Sheene raced the bike in the 1981 championship, where he finished fourth at Salzburgring, sixth at Hockenheim and third at Monza.

Yamaha Kicks Off 2013 MotoGP Promotional Campaign with Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo – Video

Tue, 15 Jan 2013

We’re just over two weeks into the new year which means it’s time for MotoGP teams to start the promotional push for their 2013 MotoGP programs. Ducati is set to reveal its Desmosedici GP13 today at its annual Wrooom ski event with Ferrari‘s Formula One team later today, but Yamaha has gotten the jump on its Italian rival by releasing new photographs and a video of ex-Ducati rider Valentino Rossi and reigning World Champion Jorge Lorenzo. Also revealed is the 2013 Yamaha M1, though the racebike is shrouded in graphical overlays of its pilots and devoid of any sponsor logos including the newly signed supporter Monster Energy.
