Yamaha Other description

Please wait for full text to load. This 2007 R6 has been set-up for the track. It can be pre-owned for track days in stock form or a great platform for the more experienced to build on. All unnecessary street required parts have been removed. The bike is light and agile. It has a full set of Sharkskinz bodywork that was just painted in Yamaha Racing Blue with BMW Sapphire Black on the lower section. The R6 graphics have been cleared over with the rest of the fairing. It also has Woodcraft sliders up front and on the swingarm. Bike is in extremely clean shape with 4200 original street miles. There is 1 small scratch on the muffler from previous owner taking a spill in his driveway. Other than that the bike runs good and pulls strong and straight. I purchased with the intention of doing track days but I can never seem to find the time to get there. It has never been tracked or raced. I have a kickstand to go along with it if you decide to alter the bodywork in any way. All street related parts are not included. The title is clean and ready to go. Please-Only series inquiries. But at Round Four at O.o Coliseum in Oakland, Calif., Ryan Villopoto showed why he remains the top dog, leading each lap for his second win of the season. The Kawasaki rider only trailed at the very start of the race, as Honda rider Vince Friese took the holeshot with Yamaha‘s Justin Brayton slotting in second through the first corner.

Fri, 09 Sep 2011

Two-time World Superbike Champion James Toseland announced his immediate retirement from motorcycle racing due to a debilitating injury to his right wrist. Signed with the BMW Motor Italia racing team, Toseland has been limited to just seven of 20 races in this season’s WSBK Championship due to the wrist injury initially suffered during a private test at Spain’s Aragon circuit in March. After undergoing an operation for the injury, Toseland made two attempts at returning to racing, first at the Miller Motorsports Park round in May and again at the Silverstone round in July.
