This bike is in terrific condition, No road rash or major dents and dings. Runs well and has a relatively new battery. Starts every time and lives up to the VMAX reputation. It has Supertrap After Market Exhaust Pipes, and I will also come with the original pipes not shown. I believe a jet kit has been installed as I was given a box with some of the old jets when I purchased the bike. The bike has a Spitfire Windshield and good rubber on the front. It will need a rear tire in the near future. The bikes Kelly Blue Book Value is between $5115 and $3520, and is now priced below min. There is no shipping unless you want to arrange for it after full payment has been made. Yamaha have proved once again that all-black bikes never fail to please, this is the Japan-only R1 supplied to you by Yamaha if you're going to be racing in the All-Japan Superbike Championship. So that'll be none of us getting one of these, then. The good news: you can choose between an R1 or an R6, they're supplied black and with a racing ECU and loom.

Cyril Despres Signs with Yamaha

Five-time Dakar Rally winner Cyril Despres has signed on with Yamaha Motor France to race on the Yamaha YZ450F. Despres won the Dakar Rally in 2005, 2007, 2010, 2012 and 2013 with KTM but parted ways with the Austrian manufacturer in March. For 2014, Despres is trading in KTM Orange for Yamaha Blue, riding with support rider and fellow Frenchman Michael Metge.

Yamaha Motiv – A Car From The Tuning Fork Company

According to reports from the Tokyo Motor Show Yamaha has announced preliminary plans to produce the Motiv, a lightweight, two-seater similar to a Smart car. The Motiv is apparently based on Gordon Murray Design‘s T25 and T27 concept cars and will apparently use Murray’s iStream assembly process. Sources say the vehicle is targeted for the European market and will be available in both electric as well as fossil fuel versions.
