I am deciding to sell my Yamaha R1 with 9,zero miles on it. Only reason I am selling is to find a daily driven car or it would not be forsale. To start off with it has a full Graves exhaust and headers, Power Programmer III, skull mirrors, red leds under tail, charger cord under seat, and more. The Cons is it had fallen over in a gravel driveway and has small scratches that can only be seen if close to it. Other than that, it's a beautiful show bike and sounds great. It has had the oil changed, spark plugs, and tuned by Yamaha. It has 60% tread left on tires I just bought toward the end of summer. Recently put a new battery on it. I am looking to trade it if interested for a , 95-06 maxima, 95-up 240SX, or something turbo or lifted. Will consider others. I am currently looking for a Audi A4 or A6 more than anything. Does not matter about mileage or if itI has ahad salvage title as long as its worth as much as my bike. And perfer five gear. Email me or text if interested with pics.. The engine is backwards. Yamaha’s reason for doing this is to shift the heavy end of the motor more to the center of the motorcycle to make it more agile and responsive. Slanting the cylinder also made for a straighter pathway for the air intake at the front of the bike.
David Stanton Charity Trackday Raises $75,000
Fri, 22 Nov 2013The generosity of the motorcycling community shone brightly on Monday, as riders, fans, friends and enthusiasts took part in a charity track day at Sonoma Raceway hosted by 3J’s Motorcycle Track Days, raising $75,000. The charity track day was to benefit David Stanton, a Bay Area resident and long-time American Federation of Motorcyclists (AFM) competitor, who was paralyzed after a racing crash in June. In all, more than 400 people participated in the track day, attended the evening reception or stopped by to give Stanton their best wishes.
