1979 Yamaha SR500r – Incredible Original Condition Current California registration with original blue and yellow license plate. 3560 original miles. The bike has always been stored indoors and is in impeccable condition. As you can see from the photos, the bike is like new and is in no way ‘tidied up’ for sale. There is no rust, dents or other damage hidden. All decals, paint and seat are in perfect condition. The bike starts on the first kick (once you get the hang of starting an SR) and runs like a top. New tires, new MotoBatt sealed battery and the rubber seal on the gas tank is the only work I have done after purchasing the bike from a friend last year. A set of brake pads, full carb rebuild kit and other parts will be included in the sale. A full set of related documents will come with the bike including original sale brochure, owner’s manual and a Clymer service manual plus a second original Yamaha key. 1970 YAMAHA 360 ENDURO RT1 in beautiful condition. 1,145 miles, matching numbers on frame, engine, and federal label. I bought this motorcycle about two years ago from another collector, it has only been used for shows during the past several decades. Paint on the tank, fenders, and other parts is super clean, no dents, scratches, rust or damage. All chrome is beautifully shiny, all rubber parts are soft and supple. Original Autolube oil injection system remains fully functional, no premixing needed. Exhaust pipe is solid, no rust, leaks or holes, the baffle is installed, and the chrome heat shield is excellent. Chain and sprockets are clean, rust free, and in excellent condition. Seat vinyl is soft and has no cracks, holes, or damage; seat foam is solid, seat pan is solid with no rust, cracks, or damage. Lights, horn, and both gauges all work properly. All levers, handles, and cables move smoothly. Both tires and tubes were recently replaced and remain brand new. Bike has always been stored dry of fuel, gas only added on the two occasions (including today) that I have started and operated the motorcycle. I have put less than a mile on it in total since I acquired it. It starts very easily, goes through all gears up and down, and the brakes are smooth. It likely will need some tuning or adjustment as today the idle rpm was quite high until the little bit of gas that I had put in ran out. I have the clear California title in my name, and the bike is currently registered and plated. Also included are: 2 original Yamaha keys RT1 Owner's manual RT1 Service manual Original advertisement of this model from 1970 Cycle magazine from April 1970 with road test of this model. The bike is located in the Los Angeles area and can easily be viewed anytime prior to auction end. Shipping and delivery will be the sole responsibility of buyer, I can assist in loading it into a transport vehicle, or possibly can deliver it to a local Los Angeles or Long Beach shipping terminal. Sold as-is, without warranty whatsoever expressed or implied. This is a 46 year old used motorcycle and will have some minor wear, flaws, blemishes and imperfections, yet overall an outstanding example of the first generation Enduro in MUCH better condition than commonly available.

Yamaha sold the GTS in the USA for only two years, but wearing a thirteen grand price tag, they weren't that popular. Shame though, since the bike was way ahead of it's time with a fuel-injected and retuned FZR1000 motor, ABS, and James Parker's wild RADD front end. The forkless front looked odd, but offered significant improvements in stability, turning, and braking over a conventional setup.

When I got it a few years ago, I changed the oil, replaced the spark plugs, put new tires on it, and had the carburetor rebuilt. I also had the recommended fix done to the starter clutch (to keep it from rattling).

Great day to all. i'm listing my Bigwheel 350 for sale this bike has been in my collection for some time i've decided to thin out the heard a bit just to many toys to maintain. i'm getting older and moving out of state so a bunch need to go otherwise i will be taking them along with me i'm not about to give it away shes that nice. Ok shes a 1987, Bigwheel 350 little to no hours of use i acquired this bike from the orig owner this bigwheel comes out from e&s motors in alberta canada.still sports there decal on the neck,shes very clean no pits on the frame, engine guard has no imperfections runs awesome shifts as it should you will be hard pressed to find another of this caliber, the seat does have a small nick in it but still is fine looking and its not all the way thru material All orig decals on the chassis frame steering cross bar , i have since replaced the fuel tank with a nos fuel tank and decals, orig tank was leaking from a crack in the plastic, age enough said.

AMA Pro Racing Announces Tommy Aquino Spirit Award

The sudden and tragic passing of Tommy Aquino has hit the entire motorcycling community hard. In order to preserve and honor the spirit and positive attitude of the late Tommy Aquino, AMA Pro Racing announced today that a “Tommy Aquino Spirit Award” will be granted to an AMA Pro Road Racing rider who best embodies the spirit of the paddock during the 2014 season. The paddock will vote for the rider who exemplifies qualities mirroring those of Tommy including passion for the sport, fan engagement and team interaction. The award will be presented on behalf of Cortech and Shoei at the conclusion of the 2014 AMA Pro Road Racing season. “Over the past eight years we have had the pleasure of working with Tommy Aquino, but he was much more than just another Shoei athlete,” said Hiro Mizushima, President of Shoei Safety Helmet Corp.

Ryan Villopoto was dominant in Daytona, leading all 20 laps to win his third race of the season. The Monster Energy Kawasaki ride strengthened his hold on the 2014 AMA Supercross championship lead, padding his lead over Red Bull KTM riders Ryan Dungey and Ken Roczen. Larry Pegram’s EBR 1190RX AMA Race Livery Looks Sharp!

In January news broke that Larry Pegram would be teaming up with Erik Buell Racing to race the 1190RX in AMA Superbike. At the time no official photos were revealed, but that’s all changed as Pegram posted these pictures of his completed 1190RX in full race livery on his Facebook page. These photos were captured during team testing in Florida, and the colors show off the all-American design motif.

Movistar To Be Yamaha MotoGP Title Sponsor For 5-Years

Finding sponsors for U.S. racing might be next to impossible, but this isn’t the case elsewhere, as Movistar, a telecommunications arm of Spanish company Telefonica, has signed on to be the title sponsor for the Factory Yamaha MotoGP team for the next five years. Short of the 20-year relationship between Honda and Repsol, this comes as one of the more significant sponsorship deals in recent memory.
