Join MotoGP Stars In Saying Farewell To Colin Edwards In His Final USGP Appearance

This weekend’s Red Bull Indianapolis Grand Prix will be Colin Edwards’ final MotoGP race on American soil, and to commemorate the occasion, Yamaha Motor Corporation, U.S.A., invites you to join a special “Farewell To The Texas Tornado” live event Saturday evening on the center stage at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The celebration begins at approximately 5:30 PM EST Saturday. “This is going to be a special evening that’s sure to bring lots of laughs, along with possibly a few tears of emotion, as we look back at the racing career of one of Yamaha’s most popular and colorful legends,” commented Bob Starr, General Manager of National Communications for Yamaha Motor Corporation, U.S.A.

2014 Yamaha YZF-R1 and YZF-R6 Race Blu Unveiled

With the MotoGP world championship in Donington Park this weekend, Yamaha took the opportunity to reveal the 2014 version of its M1-inspired Race Blu liveries along with the 2014 YZF-R1, YZF-R6 and other sportbikes. Before you read any farther, here’s the bad news. First, it does not appear as though either the R1 or the R6 received any other updates for 2014.

Motorcycle Retro is a pet project of former Motorcyclist editor Mitch Boehm, launching as Motorcyclist Retro in early 2008 under the Source Interlink media umbrella. It featured a contemporary look at motorcycles of the 1960s through the 1980s. However, the circulation numbers of MR didn’t meet the expectations of the media conglomerate, and they cancelled production of the magazine after just two issues.
