Red Bull Glen Helen National Media Day Thursday, May 22

With the Supercross season over, and Motocross season now beginning, Thursday, May 22, will be a media day leading up to the Red Bull Glen Helen National. This event is open to all journalists — no credential necessary.  The day kicks off at 1pm, with a press conference featuring former 450 Class Champions: Ryan Dungey, James Stewart and Chad Reed. Tom Sykes has taken over the lead in the 2013 World Superbike Championship standings after splitting race victories with Chaz Davies at Germany’s Nurburgring circuit. Both races ended prematurely however with red flags during the final laps. Pata Honda‘s Jonathan Rea and FIXI Crescent Suzuki‘s Leon Camier both crashed on the 18th lap of Race One after running into oil spilled on the track from Pedercini Kawasaki racer Federico Sandi‘s ZX-10R.

Yamaha Motor Co. revealed what it calls its New Medium-term Management Plan, outlining its business strategies for 2013 to 2015, including the introduction of 250 new models worldwide across its various product lines including motorcycles. The three-year plan is an extension of Yamaha‘s plan for 2010-2012 which targets a “V-shaped recovery”.
