I'm selling my 2008 Yamaha r6 because I'm going away to school and can't take it with me and won't have enough time ride it. Bike is in almost perfect condition besides just a few scratches on the lower plastics. Bike is completely stock except slip on GYTR exhaust and integrated tail light. LOW MILES: just over 7k Tires have about 50% tread left plus comes with 2 brand new tires never been put on. (Micheline 2ct) Comes with XL Joe Rocket jacket. (I normally wear size medium or large. Fits me perfect with a sweatshirt underneath. Also have a medium shoei helmet. Clear and tinted visor. (DOT and SNELL approved) Just passed NYS inspection. Yamaha must “pursue true Yamaha-ness and break out of our old norms” if it hopes to increase profitability, says Hiroyuki Yanagi, the company’s president and chief executive officer. In an open letter released by Yamaha, Yanagi discussed what his company needed to do in order to reach its goal of producing 12 million units this year and collecting 2 trillion yen (US$22.5 billion) in sales. Yanagi’s message offered little in specific details but provided a glimpse of Yamaha’s overall strategy for the next few years.
