Yamaha Other description

This bike currently has just under 6,600 miles, but that will change as I ride it daily. I purchased it this past November with 2000 miles, and have done a lot of work to it and ridden it quiet a bit since then.

This bike is not cosmetically perfect. I laid it over going 10-15 mph when I first purchased it and that scuffed up the plastic just above the muffler. There's a few dings on the right side of the gas tank, along with small chips from the 1000's of miles of gravel riding I've managed to do with it since purchasing it. I had planned on adding a Clarke tank so that never bothered me.

I replaced the spark plug and adjusted the valves at 5000 miles.

Goodies include:

Shinko 244 Front Tire (1500 miles on it, still has LOTS of tread)
Dark grey Jimbo Shield
LED auxiliary lights w/ On/Off switch
Tusk D-Flex handguards
Tusk aluminum folding shift lever
Cyclerack w/ two tool tubes
Custom pannier rack w/ two Seahorse Cases (Easy to install/remove)
14/47 JT Sprockets w/ approximately 2200 miles
120 link chain w/ approximately 2200 miles
LED Lights on the speedo & panel indicators
Shortened rear turn signals (2" Narrower on each side)
Custom tail light/license plate bracket w/ LED brake light & integrated turn signals
RAM GPS mounting ball on the handlebars
Charging lead off the battery located under side panel. Can also us it to charge phones/GPS with included adapter

Please note: The bike no longer has the blue Tusk handlebars shown in the photos as I've gone back to the stock bars. Also, the Pelican rear trunk will not be included either. It will be moving to the new toy.

Feel free to call or text with questions. Four 7 nine 409 four one 7 one

Rich Oliver’s Mystery School Still Has Open Dates

Wed, 01 Oct 2014

Many roadracing champions will tell you that training in the dirt has helped them immensely in becoming the best rider they can be. The drastically reduced grip in the dirt makes a rider feel more comfortable on the street when one or both tires start slipping. At the Rich Oliver’s Mystery School, five-time 250cc champion, Rich Oliver, will teach you how to gain confidence on two wheels, all from the controls of a TTR125 Yamaha.

Recall for 2011 Yamaha FJR1300

Mon, 11 Jul 2011

Yamaha is initiating a recall campaign the 2011 FJR1300, just a week after a separate recall for the 2006-2009 versions of the sport touring motorcycle. Like the earlier campaign, the recall for the 2011 Yamaha FJR1300 is for an electrical issue,  this time for the brake lights. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, brake light on affected units may not illuminate when the front brake lever is applied because the activating mechanism in the brake switch can bind.
