This is 1 of those bikes that is part scooter and part motorcycle, meaning it has a scooter "step through" design and automatic transmission but has a fullsize frame and engine like a regular motorcycle. Because of that, you can not only ride around town, but you can also get up on the highway and cruise at higher speeds. The Majesty is fuel injected and Yamaha rates the fuel economy at 50MPG. If you are driving a truck or SPORT UTILITY VEHICLE, it can pay for it'self in fuel savings in a reasonable amount of time. This particular Majesty has been well cared for both cosmetically and mechanically. It sarts easily, and runs & drives just as it should. The bike is completely stock and unmolested by any backyard "mechanics" It has a very large underseat storage container and 2 smaller ones up front. Yamaha Reports Q1 2012 Results
Mon, 14 May 2012Yamaha reported a 5.3% decrease in worldwide motorcycle sales over the first quarter of 2012 despite a 25% increase in North American sales. In the quarter ended March 31, 2012, Yamaha sold 1.599 million motorcycles worldwide, down from 1.689 million motorcycles sold over the same quarter in 2011. Most of the decline was due to Yamaha’s performance in the Asian market.
