Yamaha Trademarks Design for Three-Cylinder Sport-Tourer

Yamaha has registered a trademark for the design of a sport-touring model based on the FZ-09. Filed with European Union’s Office for Harminization in the Internal Market, the trademarked design reveals a brand new model sharing the same frame and engine as the FZ-09 (known in Europe as the MT-09.) Discuss this at our Yamaha FZ-09 Forum. The new model will likely be compete against motorcycles such as the Suzuki V-Strom 1000 and a rumored S1000RR-based model from BMW.

The brief I gave to my girlfriend before packing for our little California road-trip was simple: “No hair straighteners, no high-heels and no hand bags!” So, I had to honour the whole ‘packing light’ thing too ...or risk a week of abuse. 2013 Yamaha XJ6, XJ6 Diversion Updated for European Market

Yamaha has revealed an updated version of its XJ6 including its faired Diversion and Diversion F versions for the European market. The XJ6 models were first introduced in Europe in 2009 as the latest member of Yamaha‘s XJ series and a replacement for the FZ6 as a middleweight all-arounder. In recent years however, Yamaha Motor USA decided to keep the slightly sportier FZ6R in its lineup and pass on the XJ6 models.
