Yamaha Other description
2006 Yamaha Warrior, 2006 Yamaha Warrior - THE CRUISER HEART WITH A CHECKERED-FLAG SOUL. Feeling conflicted over whether you want the laid-back comfort of a cruiser or the exhilarating performance of a sport bike? Why not just have both? The Road Star Warrior took the cruiser's low-end muscle and combined it with the handling and maneuverability of a sport bike. In fact, the suspension is derived from our championship-winning YZF-R1, and the engine is wrapped in a high-tech aluminum chassis. Whether you call the Warrior a power cruiser or a sport bike, you're going to want to call it your own. It's all show, with stunning, muscular lines even before you add your custom touches. It's also all go...it is drag racing's AMA Prostar Hot Rod Cruiser champion three years running. Yamaha Named Official Motorcycle Of Road America
Thu, 02 May 2013The economic downturn hit the motorcycle world particularly hard, as many factory-backed road racing efforts closed shop. The decision, while unfortunate, isn’t hard to understand, as racing at the highest levels isn’t cheap, and a factory involvement means added pressure to succeed, which ultimately means spending more money to do so. Through it all, however, Yamaha has remained involved with the sport, fielding factory teams and sponsoring various riding schools and even racetracks.
Yamaha's Coming Out With a Race-Spec R1 In 2023
Tue, 06 Sep 2022But there's a catch: It's only available in Europe. At least for now. In a move further supporting my argument that R1s are purpose-built racebikes with lights and mirrors to make them legal on the roads, for 2023 Yamaha is introducing the R1 GYTR – an R1 prepared specifically for track duty, without any of the homologation pieces for roadworthiness (don’t worry, the standard R1 isn’t going anywhere).
