Yamaha Other description

15th St at Bell 2006 Yamaha V-Star (Vstar) 1100 (XVS1100) Classic. Attractive condition, just serviced. 6,120mis. New battery. HID Headlamp. Saddlebag support arms. Passenger rest (sissy bar). This bike runs well and has no issues. Title in hand, ready to go. If you're unfamiliar with the Vstar 1100 model, here are some highlights: - shaft drive, means reliable and smooth shifting. Low maintenance- tank mounted gauge, completes the classic cruiser look- footboards, NOT pegs. Makes a much more comfortable ride and looks better (in my opinion)- low center of gravity, long wheel base = classic cruiser- dual front disc brakes (not common at all), means great stopping power- lots of low end (2,400 rpm) torque, great for early throttle responseI will throw in a high quality, lightly pre-owned, UV resistant and waterproof bike cover. I really like this bike, it's a real pleasure to ride. But I just got a dog and I just don't find the time to ride it anymore. Call me at: -Dallas

Team Hammer Releases Martin Cardenas

Fri, 04 Jan 2013

AMA Pro Racing’s Team Hammer has released Martin Cardenas from his contract to allow the reigning AMA Daytona Sportbike Champion “to better pursue his goal of returning to World Championship competition as soon as possible.” Though the eventual goal appears to be for Cardenas to move up to the World Superbike Championship, rumors have Cardenas landing with the Yoshimura Suzuki factory team to race in the AMA Superbike Championship in 2013 as an eventual stepping stone towards international racing. Cardenas won the 2010 and 2012 AMA Daytona Sportbike championships with Team Hammer riding a Suzuki GSX-R600. Team Hammer held a contract option for Cardenas for the 2013 season but decided to release the Colombian racer, allowing him to take a different route towards a WSBK career.
