Yamaha Other description

I have a "better-than-new" 2005 Yamaha TW200 street legal fat tire enduro in perfect condition. I bought it 2 years ago from a college professor that hadn't gone prospecting on it for several years. After picking it up, I had it completely re-done to give to my wife to ride and...she hasn't ridden it once. It only has 7,500 miles on it. It has up-to-date current registration and I have the title in hand. The Work I Had Done Is As Follows: *Had custom high-fender kit installed (and kept the original fender). *Installed fork boots. *Had front tire mud scraper made and installed. *New $600 hard case waterproof, and quick release, lockable rear luggage system. *New $150 front luggage rack. *Heavy duty security schain and pad-lock. *New front fork rebuild kit, with heavy duty, longer springs for 2" more travel. *Head and Case seals were all replaced. *New Clutch. *New Brakes. *Rebuilt Carb (and all gas was drained since it was last started 2 years ago). *All new filters. *All new bulbs in lights. *New hand brush guards. *New hand grips. *I will include both stock and freeway sprockets (the stock high torque sprocket is currently installed). *It will come with a nice set of stock off-road knobby tires as spares. *It has $450 worth of brand new super-moto street/mild off-road tires that are currently installed. I've got over $5,500 invested in this bike as it sits. Vehicle ID# - JYA3AWC055A102500

Magneti Marelli to Supply Electronics System to MotoGP Teams

Wed, 26 Sep 2012

It’s no secret that promoter Dorna Motorsports has been trying to push a standardized electronics control unit for teams in the MotoGP World Championship. The lack of a top-tier electronics package has been one of the biggest challenges faced by MotoGP’s claiming rule teams, and a spec ECU would narrow the gap between the CRT bikes and the factory prototypes. The manufacturers competing in the series, Honda, Ducati and Yamaha, understandably are resistant to the idea considering the effort they’ve put in to develop their electronics systems.

Think You’re a Smooth Rider? Yamaha’s SmartRiding App Will Prove It

Fri, 04 Oct 2013

Yamaha has released a new app that records and evaluates riding habits. The free Yamaha SmartRiding app (available now in the App store) uses the Apple devices sensors to measure basic telemetry to evaluate how smoothly you handle curves. The app requires the device to be firmly fixed to the motorcycle in either a vertical or horizontal arrangement (the app is compatible with iPhones, iPods and iPads, though I’m not sure how many people will mount a tablet to their motorcycle).
